Syllabus:

Introduction to palm oil and oleochemical industry. Palm oil mill - system and process. Palm oil mill - process equipment. Palm oil mill - an environmental control plan (ECP). Palm kernel oil extraction mill process. Oleochemical chemistry - chemical andphysical characteristic. Oleochemical chemistry - reaction. Palm oil refinery process (degumming, neutralisation, washing and bleaching). Palm oil refinery process (filtration, deodorisation, winterisation and hydrogenation). Palm oil derivatives. Palm oil refinery - environmental impact and waste management. Palm Oil - sustainability and future industrial direction.
