Syllabus:

The dynamic interface between power and wealth as embodied in states and markets. Exploration of the role of government vis-a-vis markets today, the limits of the market vis-a-vis obligations of the government to the citizenry and major issues in political economy - environmental protections, economic globalisation, social security and others.
