Syllabus:

An advanced overview of the ways digitisation is influencing library collections and services. Topics include - digital resources and collection development, aggregation, digital document delivery, cataloguing web-based resources and digital objects, digitisation of technical services, including acquisitions and cataloguiing, negotiating with providers and aggregators of digital material, creating digital objects and collections including the legal implications, preservation of digital objects. Develop and practice skills in the creation and storage of digital objects.
