Syllabus:

The Indian Ocean region - structure and evolution of the ocean basin and the distribution and characteristics of the continents and island groups. Dynamics of air and water circulation region. Population and food production in India and East Africa. Fisheries resources with special reference to Western Australia. Aspects of the political geography - oil production in the Middle East, the economic base and strategic importance of island states.
