Taking a sexual history, contract tracing, counselling and client education, notification procedures. Cultural perspectives and epidemiology. Regulations and disease control legislation. Physical examination, diagnostic tests, specimen collection and interpretation of pathology reports. Pelvic inflammatory disease, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis B, donovanosis, chancroid, non-notifiable diseases. Treatment regimes and best practice guidelines.
