Syllabus:

Alcohol and drug screening and assessment, theories of addiction, models of drug use, management, consultation and referral of clients with alcohol and other drug use problems. State Acts of parliament and regulations pertinent to personal use and caring for clients with alcohol and other drug problems. Intoxication, withdrawal and non-fatal overdose. Counselling addicted clients. Substance use and mental health disorders and personal safety.
