Constituents of the atmosphere and their absorption, transmission properties. Solar spectrum and selective emission and absorption in the atmosphere. Water vapour absorption. Schwartzchild's equation. Atmospheric scattering. Radiation budget. Radiative Transfer Equation (RTE). Solving the RTE statistical, iterative, linearisation etc. Handling of clouds and water vapour. Ozone.
