Syllabus:

Viscous Effects in Fluid Flow - Internal viscous flow, laminar flow in pipes and channels, friction and pressure head loss, laminar to turbulent transition, turbulent flow in pipes, wall roughness effects, Moody chart, Hydraulic grade lines, boundary layers, types of drag, dimensional analysis, dynamic similarity, lift and drag coefficients, pump types, characterisation of pumps through non-dimensional groups.
