Syllabus:

Exploration of the collection of specific clinical specimens for microbiological examination - Principles and practices used in the isolation, identification and separation of normal human microbial flora and pathogens in clinical specimens. Processing of clinical microbiological specimens as performed in medical microbiological laboratories. Use of antimicrobials and susceptibility testing in the clinical setting.
