Syllabus:

Introduction to equilibrium stage operations. Application of fundamental principles and development of calculation procedures for simple systems, in particular binary distillation. Development of approach for a range of separation techniques and in-depth analysis of gas absorption, cooling towers and humidifiers, liquid-solid and liquid-liquid extraction. Non-ideal situations, including heat effects. Non-equilibrium (dynamic and transient) systems.
