Syllabus:

Study of narrative through the reading of various print and film narrative texts - short and long prose, fiction, including popular sub-genres such as fantasy fiction, science fiction or detective fiction. The theory, structures and history of the genre, the relationship to the contexts of modernity and postmodernity. Issues of the relationship of genre and gender.
