Syllabus:

Anthropology of the city. Urban anthropology at home. Origins and growth of cities and urban anthropology. Kinship, family and neighbourhood in urban contexts. Work and recreation in cities. Ethnographic studies in and of urban settings. Students must produce a major research project.
