Syllabus:

Characteristics of geographical phenomena. Symbolisation of qualitative and quantitative representations. Graphic visual variables and their perceptual properties. Geometric aspects in cartography. Cartograms. Colour selection and colour matching systems. Thematic data collection and generalisation. Choropleth mapping, data classification techniques. Representation of discrete data. Catographic design of flow and line maps.
