Syllabus:

Introduction to the sociology of capitalist societies. Basic concepts for the analysis of capitalist societies and the process of globalisation - production and society, class and social structure, organisation and bureaucracy, technology and work, power, resources and the state, elite and ruling class concepts, social movements, culture and ideology, mass media.
