301456 v.2 Globalisation Studies Minor

Introduction

The phenomenon of globalisation provides an understanding of recent world and national developments as well as the social, political, economic and cultural forces that have created and moulded life in the late twentieth century. The transcendence of boundaries has characterised the historical processes of globalisation, increasingly the significance of earlier boundaries has diminished so that the globe is perceived and treated as a single place.
