Introduction


This course extends knowledge of current academic research methodology as it is applied in the field of food and nutrition and to demonstrate this, through the preparation of an honours dissertation.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites


Refer to Admission into Honours Degree Program and Regulations for Honours Degrees in the General Information section of the Curtin Courses Handbook. Only students with outstanding performance in undergraduate study will be considered for entry to the honours system. Students intending to apply for entry must have achieved a minimum course weighted average of at least 65 per cent or higher, although some courses require at least 70 per cent or higher. Candidates should inform the course coodinator of an intention to apply for entry to the honours program prior to or immediately after the conclusion of undergraduate study.

Specific Requirements


Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.

The course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study.
