Syllabus: The unit will provide students with critical understanding of the systematic, structured approach to analysis; the role and place of the intelligence capability in the system of national security and defence; the role of intelligence in national strategic and defence planning; intelligence and traditional warfare; the role of intelligence in counter-insurgency campaigns and as a counter terrorism instrument; different research methodologies and models employed by academic and relevant professional communities, including the intelligence cycle.
