Syllabus: Food production systems continuously interact with the environment in which they are embedded. This unit will introduce students to the key management processes of planning, implementation and control of a range of on-farm production systems and the subsequent processing, distribution and retailing of food products. Students will be introduced to the various tools used to manage, monitor and evaluate business performance at multiple levels of the food chain.
