Syllabus: Application of basic surveying and mapping principles for topographic mapping. Field camp involving teamwork and organisational skills in order to plan, execute and present results of a topographic survey. The field surveys include but are not limited to - reconnaissance, traversing, levelling and detail survey. The mapping and presentation of results include but are not limited to - mapping of details and contour lines on a suitable scale and report presentation of all practical work and results.
