Syllabus (HB): The unit provides opportunities for students to explore the social construction of literacy with a focus on the values, beliefs and world views that underpin literacy; to investigate issues such as the differences between literacy practices valued by schools and those used by children from diverse backgrounds; to develop designs for learning based on multi-literacy frameworks in response to changes in technology, visual communication, diversity and social mobility.
