Syllabus: Development of a stronger graphic communication skills base by the utilisation of photographic and digital image generation. The photographic component focuses on broadening core abilities in art direction and the production of photographic images. Students investigate and produce a series of environmental portraits. A variety of techniques and procedures is demonstrated towards the acquisition of photographic images in both location and studio environments. Using primarily Adobe Photoshop, digital rendering focuses on a film poster production using a variety of different image blending and construction methods to achieve a final outcome. Emphasis is placed on content, composition, colour and techniques.
