Introduction

The Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics enables students to study units in theoretical and applied microeconomics and macroeconomics. This course caters for graduates of degrees in other disciplines as well as students who have studied economics previously and may wish to update their knowledge and understanding. The course may be particularly suitable to Economics teachers who are seeking a professional qualification in economics at the postgraduate level.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A degree from a recognised institution in a discipline other than economics or an Economics qualification awarded more than 10 years ago.

Duration and Availability

This course is two semesters full-time or equivalent part-time study.

Intermediate Awards 1

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate award(s) approved for this course are:
