Syllabus: Applied industrial surface chemistry: colloidal state and charged interfaces, superheating, detergency and wetting. Suspensions and suspension flow. Flotation, flocculation and thickeners. Theories and applications of corrosion science. Solid state chemistry: crystal structures, crystallography, characterisation and properties of solids. Characterisation and properties of solids: bonding, electrical properties and magnetic properties.
