Environmental Geochemistry: principles of environmental geochemistry; contaminant speciation and the role of water, colloids and organic materials in chemical pollution. Geochemical-biological interactions ;medical geology and toxicity. Contamination risks to soils, lakes, estuaries, and groundwater resulting from mining, industry, agriculture and urbanisation. Environmental geochemical analysis and practical study of contaminated sites and mining pollution. Principles and practicalities of waste disposal.
