Introduction (HB)

This double major is designed for students who wish to become professional accountants specialising in small business issues associated with the profession. It provides a comprehensive understanding of, and competency in, the use of technology in accounting as it relates to small business, as well as developing the main functional areas necessary for the establishment and continuous operation of a small business. The double major is designed to satisfy the educational requirements of the CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). It is recognised as being acceptable for Associate membership of CPA Australia, and the National Institute of Accountants and entry to the ICAA graduate program.
