Introduction

This is a challenging and flexible program that develops the skills and competencies, knowledge and confidence to gain employment in the global business environment and to make effective decisions in an increasingly uncertain and volatile business environment. It is designed for those aspiring to middle, senior and executive level managerial careers. The program incorporates working in diverse teams, learning independently and doing a consulting project involving a business placement.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A bachelor degree in any field other than management with a course-weighted average (CWA) of at least 60% in the previous degree, or, significant professional work experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Application for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course is three semesters, 100 credit per semester, full time or equivalent part time study.

Intermediate Awards

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for the graduation in that award subject to approval of Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate Award approved for this course is GraduateDiploma in Management.

Course Organisation

Students who are required to take foundation nits will be expected to take then in the first semester of the course.

Professional Recognition

Depending upon the major area of study chosen, graduates are eligible for membership to the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Management.

Career Opportunities

Graduates generally find employment in supervisory and managerial roles within private and public organisations.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials. In addition, students may undertake a study tour unit at their own expense.
