310865 v.2 Chemistry and Molecular Biology Stream (Nanotechnology)

Introduction

The chemistry component of this stream is comprised of units that focus on physical chemistry and its role in the context of nanotechnology. Students also take second and third year units in either organic chemistry or inorganic chemistry. The Molecular Biology component provides a suite of units that cover areas of biology and biomedical science relevant to the field of nanotechnology. There is a strong emphasis on genetics at third and fourth year level. Electives in biochemistry are recommended for students taking chemistry.
