Syllabus:	Industrial minerals (sand, gravel, cement, and mineral sands) and fossil fuels (coal, oil shale, tar sands, oil and gas) are significant contributors to the minerals sector. An examination of the origin of the different industrial mineral and fossil fuel deposits, as well as discussing their treatment and uses.
