Introduction

This major develops understanding of the making and circulation of meaning within a culture. It pays particular attention to the construction of cultural values and how they are articulated through social and creative practice.

Major combinations within the BA

Students choosing this major within the Bachelor of Arts degree will also choose another or an elective stream. Choosing a second major allows students to study in an additional discipline area. Choosing an elective stream allows students to undertake further study in the discipline of their first major or choose from a variety of units from around the University. Students should complete Reading Cultural Representations 110 and Fantasy and Cultural Representation 121 in first year.
