Syllabus:	A combination of lectures, laboratory sessions and field trips detailing the general biology, adaptations, ecology and taxonomy of the Australian flora, with particular emphasis on the south-west region of Australia. The course provides and overview of fire responses and fire-related life history traits, parasitic and carnivorous plants, reproductive biology, floral characteristics and taxonomy of selected dicot and monocot plant families, and an understanding of Western Australia's vegetation types.
