Workshop: 1 x 3 Hours Weekly
Syllabus: This unit will investigate normal and atypical development of children in the early years. It will examine the legal, social and educational imperative for planning, implementing and evaluating inclusive practices in early learning settings. Individualised education plans curriculum adaptation, modified teaching/learning experiences and assessment strategies will be examined. The role of the teacher working in collaboration with parents and support agencies working in multi-disciplinary teams will be examined. Students attend a three hour workshop per week and a one day practical in the Early Learning Centres each week.
