Syllabus:	Introduction to alternating current/direct current (AC/DC), DC/AC power conversion, quality parameters. Single and three-phase uncontrolled and controlled rectification. Single phase square-wave and pulse width modulation (PWM) inverters. Current source inverters. Three-phase voltage controlled and current controlled inverters. Modulation techniques. Harmonic effects in power systems. Power conditioning systems with power quality (PQ) issues. Simulation of power electronic circuits.
