Syllabus:

Theory - the application of sampling theory, Fourier theory, correlation, convolution and filtering to geophysical data in the exploration industry. Laboratory - introduction to Matlab, temporal and spatial aliasing, Fourier transforms, geophysical applications of correlation and convolution, filtering of data, interpolation and noise in geophysical data sets.
