Syllabus:

The idea of heritage and building conservation. Heritage and conservation theory including interpretation. Heritage legislation and International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) conservation guidelines. The assessment of cultural significance and conservation management. The practices of archival research, building inspections, building measurement and recording. The conservation of building construction and materials. The recycling of buildings.
