Syllabus:

Food and nutrient consumption trends in Australia. Rationale and use of food selection guides and dietary guidelines. Nutrient requirements of different stages of the lifecycle and the nutrient problems of at risk groups. Food habits of common cultural and Aboriginal groups in Australia. International trends in food habits. The nature of society and factors affecting subgroups with respect to food and eating. Philosophy of nutrition education. Theories of learning and behaviour change. Designing nutrition education.
