The development and presentation of an original mine planning and design project. Demonstrates the core principles and concepts learnt during the course - a critical review of the resource estimate used; rationale behind selection of the mining method; mine layout, design and its associated geotechnical implications; equipment selection; mining services requirements; operating and capital cost estimation; mine development and production scheduling; and a financial analysis of the project.
