Syllabus:

Sociology of the arts, the arts in Australia, artistic activity and social structure, 'Artsworlds' and collective activity, artistic conventions, sociology of art perception, artistic and general ideologies, art schools and art debates in Australia, connections between the material and social conditions of art production, and the work of art.
