Syllabus:

Gait analysis - analysis of pathological gait and computerised gait analysis, EMED and EMG analysis. Orthopaedics - podiatric orthopaedics - specialist cast modifications. Problem solving in patient management. Manufacture of advanced orthoses techniques. Troubleshooting. Case studies of orthoses cases. User of simple off-the-shelf orthoses. Orthopaedic surgery - introduction to orthopaedics and general principles of orthopaedics. Infection. Disorders of bone and joints. Hip, knee, ankle and foot. Tumours affecting the foot and leg.
