Syllabus:

Medicine - effects of disease on locomotor system, manifestations and effects on the leg and foot. Genetics - nature of genetic material, familial disorders, autosomal dominant and recessive traits, sex linked traits and psychological aspects of disease.Gerontology - importance of gerontology to the health professional - demography, accommodation, health status and implication for health providers. Physical ageing - changes occurring in systems. Psychological ageing - implications for the podiatrist.
