Syllabus:

This unit focuses on organisational behaviour at an individual, group and organisational level, encompassing issues that are changing the way work is conducted, organised and managed today. It looks at topics such as personality, perception, motivation and leadership, group and team processes, communication, organisational politics and conflict management, organisational culture, and organisational development and change. It aims to build students' understanding of how to manage organisations and improveorganisational functions by focusing on these human aspects of work within Australia and the global community. Through the analysis of local and international case studies and individual and group exercises, students will gain knowledge of practical and theoretical approaches adopted by organisations to improve and enhance the quality of life in the workplace. The unit also focuses on building students' skills in academic writing and research required at postgraduate level in business.
