Syllabus:

General structure of the earth. Minerals and rocks. Rock forming processes. Physical geology. Elementary applied geophysics. Geochronology and stratigraphy. Structural geology and geological mapping. Geohydrology, groundwater occurrence and movement. Applications of geology in earth movements, cuttings, tunnels and dam sites. Laboratory studies of rock types, mineral characteristics and geological mapping.
