Syllabus:

Aims to provide a broad understanding of taxation to provide sufficient basic knowledge and skills to enable effective management decisions and interaction with professional taxation advisors. Emphasis will be placed on taxation as it affects primary producers and agribusiness. Topics covered include: taxation systems, calculation of net taxable income, primary production concessions, taxation of individuals, capital gains tax, fringe benefits tax, land tax, superannuation guarantee surcharge, goods and services tax, taxation of businesses and taxation planning.
