Syllabus:

Provides advanced knowledge of the anatomy, function and pathophysiology of the pelvic floor. Includes knowledge of exercise and motor control re-education for pelvic floor and lumbo-pelvic stability. Covers physiology of pain mechanisms and a range of pelvic pain presentations. Develops advanced clinical skills in the assessment of pelvic floor dysfunction including the use of real time ultrasound and EMG evaluations as well as standard clinical assessment. Encourages the development of advanced clinical reasoning skills for differential diagnosis of pelvic floor disorders. Develops clinical skills in evidence based physiotherapy management of pelvic floor dysfunction.
