Taking a sexual history, contract tracing, counselling and client education and notification procedures. Cultural perspectives and epidemiology. Regulations and disease control legislation. Physical examination, diagnostic tests, specimen collection and interpretation of pathology reports. Pelvic inflammatory disease, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis B, donovanosis, chancroid and non-notifiable diseases. Treatment regimes and best practice guidelines.
