Modern mathematics. Students choose topics in areas of personal interest. Staff expertise includes combinatorial optimisation, graph theory, combinatorics, network reliability, perturbation techniques, sparse matrix handling, computational geometry, number theory, semi-groups, time series analysis, discriminant analysis, geomechanics and electromagnetism.
