Syllabus:

Family structure and function. Family assessment across the lifespan. Mental health issues relating to child birth. Legal and bioethical issues and accountability. Human sexuality and family planning. Reproductive issues. Family resources. WHO standards related to family health. Effects of illness and hospitalisation on families. Family abuse including child abuse, domestic violence and elder abuse. Differences in health needs of men and women. Impact of chronicity, disability and rehabilitation on families.
