Review of object oriented concepts. Object-oriented analysis, universal modelling language (UML) for object-oriented analysis and design, UML extensions for real-time systems, object oriented design methods. OPEN methodology for analysis and design, activities and tasks, meta model and notation and OPEN modelling language. Design patterns. Pattern repositories. Review of OOA and OOD. Tools for object-oriented analysis and design. Object-oriented databases - architecture, languages and implementation. Developing object and oriented software using Java. Object-oriented testing - principles and methods. Test case design methods. Object-oriented metrics.
