Syllabus:

This unit focuses on the concepts behind, and realities of, decision-making within a business environment, providing decision makers with the tools and processes aimed at enhancing their own decision-making capabilities. The unit is designed to give a solid grounding in a variety of decision-making theories drawn from various disciplines and gives students the option of applying this knowledge directly to their own business situation through project work. Emphasis is on learning from applied examples andcase studies, covering the nature and structure of business decisions, the tools and techniques used to support decision-making and the technology for facilitating participative decision-making.
