Syllabus:

A study of the language of Catholic education. A brief history of Catholic education in Australia. Evangelisation and the place of the Catholic school in the mission of the Church. The culture of the Catholic school. The role of the teacher in the Catholic school. Current challenges facing Catholic schools and the teaching of religious education within the context of today's pluralistic clientele in Catholic schools. The Bishops of Western Australia's Mandate to all involved in Catholic schools. The structure, teaching process and requirements of the Perth Archdiocesan Religious Education Units of Work. The relationship between the curriculum framework and the religious education program in Catholic schools.
