Syllabus:	Theories of media - addresses specific theoretical issues which have relevance to students of film and television, journalism, language and culture, and perhaps creative writing and theatre arts. Issues to be investigated include realism and representation, future media technologies, the media and the public sphere and audience studies. Topics change from time to time.
